About ClearPath Senior Care

ClearPath Senior Care exists because the process of finding senior care — for a parent, a spouse, or eventually yourself — is confusing by design. Costs vary by state and by provider. Medicaid rules change. Every family we've talked to started this search exhausted, at 2 a.m., trying to make an urgent decision with information scattered across a dozen government websites, provider brochures, and forum posts of wildly varying quality.

We built this site to put that information in one place, written in plain language, organized around the actual questions people ask — not around industry terminology or SEO keywords for their own sake.

Who writes what you're reading

Articles on ClearPath are credited to the ClearPath Senior Care Editorial Team, not to a named individual claiming a specific professional license. We're being direct about that on purpose: it would be easy to invent an author bio with a fabricated credential to make an article look more authoritative, and we've chosen not to do that. Where a topic depends on specific legal, financial, or medical guidance, we cite primary sources directly — state Medicaid agencies, the Administration for Community Living, CMS, and similar government or institutional sources — rather than asking you to simply trust an anonymous byline.

Our editorial process

  • We research each topic against primary sources — government program rules, official eligibility guidelines, and established care-industry organizations — before writing.
  • Because rules like Medicaid eligibility and long-term care costs vary by state and change over time, we write with appropriate hedging (“in most states,” “typically,” “as of [date]”) rather than presenting variable figures as universal fact.
  • Every article shows a last-updated date so you can judge how current the information is, and we periodically revisit older articles to check that figures and rules still hold.
  • Nothing on this site is a substitute for advice from a licensed elder-law attorney, financial advisor, or medical professional for your specific situation — we aim to help you ask better questions and understand your options, not to replace professional counsel.

How this site is funded

ClearPath is supported by advertising. Ads are clearly separated from editorial content and never influence what we write or how we rank options. We don't accept payment from care providers in exchange for favorable coverage.
